Several Injured in Consecutive Collisions at New Jersey Intersection

Several people were injured in two accidents that occurred at the same New Jersey intersection. According to a news report in The Barnegat Patch, the car accidents occurred the morning of May 10 at the intersection of Route 9 and Lakeside Drive South in Forked River. Officials say the first accident occurred when a 26-year-old man driving a Subaru drifted away from his lane and struck a 2003 Hyundai and a 1997 Ford. The 40-year-old driver of the Hyundai and the 23-year-old driver of the Ford suffered minor injuries and the driver of the Subaru was listed in stable condition with serious injuries. In the aftermath of the collision, a 65-year-old Special Officer was involved in a pedestrian accident when he was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic at the intersection. He sustained head and lower extremity injuries and was later released from the hospital.

Victims of New Jersey car accidents often have it in their best interest to seek legal guidance from a skilled personal injury attorney. It is not always easy to receive fair compensation from the at-fault driver’s insurance company and a skilled car accident attorney will help determine liability while protecting the victim’s best interests and legal rights. A knowledgeable personal injury lawyer can help the victim pursue compensation for lost wages, medical expenses, pain and suffering, and other related damages.
