Toms River Intersection Collision Injures Three

Three people were injured in a New Jersey car accident that resulted in a vehicle rollover. According to The Toms River Patch, the injury accident occurred at Highland Parkway and West Water Street in downtown Toms River. Officials say a 77-year-old man was driving a 2003 Toyota northbound when it collided with a westbound 2006 Honda Pilot driven by an 18-year-old woman. The Honda overturned after the collision. Both drivers and an 81-year-old passenger in the Toyota sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Anytime an intersection accident occurs, there are many questions that must be asked. Did one of the vehicles run a red light or stop sign? Did one of the drivers fail to yield the right-of-way? Was either driver speeding, distracted, drunk or otherwise careless? Were there any witnesses to the crash? Does the intersection have cameras that may have captured the collision?

A skilled car accident attorney will work with investigators to determine liability for the crash. Negligent drivers can be held accountable for the victim’s medical bills, hospitalization costs, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other related damages.
